NEXT: NEXT Biometrics Secures NOK 6 million Purchase Order from Leading Chinese POS Hardware Manufacturer

Børsmelding
Publisert 20. sep.
NEXT Biometrics (NEXT), a leading provider of advanced thermal sensor
technology, confirms a NOK 6 million initial purchase order from a leading
Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware manufacturer based in China. The order is scheduled
to be shipped in Q3 2024.

The customer, a key player in the Chinese POS terminal market, will integrate
NEXT's advanced technology into its product targeting the growing L1 fingerprint
ID market in India. These POS devices print paper receipts for purchases of
multiple types of products and goods such as SIM cards, grains etc in physical
offices such as banks and retail shops which have authenticated the transaction
through the Aadhaar ecosystem. We expect the market for such devices in India to
exhibit strong growth in the coming years.

"Our partner, a leading China POS hardware manufacturer, is an excellent fit to
expand our Point-of-Sale product OEM base in China and globally. This Bluetooth
printer is our first engagement with this Chinese OEM, and we expect to announce
additional design wins with solid long-term volume potential during the next
6-12 months," said Joshua Chiu, Senior Vice President, of South-East Asia at
NEXT.
