• Energy harvesting & power management.

Zwipes svar:

“The sensor from Idex is indeed part of a product family. Further details on Idex product roadmap should be obtained directly from the vendor.
In our Zwipe Pay ONE solution, we will use a variant of the sensor that only exports a fingerprint image. Power management and image processing are performed in a dedicated secure element. These two post-placement components enable a passive card inlay, compatible with mass production processes.

While the sensor for our platform is still under development, extensive tests have been performed with its predecessor IDX3205 by our partner Idemia, payment schemes and independent laboratories. We are confident that the new sensor will be even superior.
Tests include durability, power consumption and biometric performance (in combination with the algorithm and enrollment policy used in Zwipe Pay ONE). Detailed test results are confidential and cannot be shared.
You can trust, however, that the decision for this sensor has been taken quite some time ago after extensive evaluation by some of the leading experts in smart cards and biometrics.”

Digital ID with Mastercard

https://www.biometricupdate.com/202002/north-macedonian-government-partners-with-mastercard-for-distributed-digital-id-service

https://www.biometricupdate.com/202008/government-digital-id-programs-launched-in-uk-coming-to-new-zealand-and-worth-waiting-for-in-australia

The consultation phase in a biometric national digital ID contract process for the Malaysian government has closed. A separate contract for biometric border control technology is expected to be announced by the government in the third quarter to replace a cancelled $828 million deal.
The Philippines, meanwhile, has completed a pilot for a pre-registration process as it prepares to register citizens for its biometric national ID. A pair of partnerships for digital ID were also launched in the country’s private sector, one with Mastercard and one with Element.
EU agencies will soon test biometric border processes for its entry-exit system at land borders, as they attempt to meet both security and frictionless travel experience objectives. The Idemia-Sopra Steria system will be tested for its ease of integration with national systems.
The UK government is planning a new document checking service like that used in Gov.uk Verify to assist with online application processes and access to government services. New Zealand’s government is working on a Digital Identity Trust Framework, and a ForgeRock director believes the government in Australia should take its time to make sure it gets it myGovID system right.
Governments, the aviation industry and businesses are taking action to transition air travel towards fast, contactless processes with no long lineups or chokepoints with digital identity and biometrics. The TSA is planning a digital ID app, touchless temperature scanning is going live at airports in Hawaii and Canada, while an airport in China has launched a facial recognition system in line with One ID.

Derek P. D'Antilio, IDEX Biometrics ASA - CFO [53] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is Derek. Yes, absolutely. One of the things I mentioned earlier that -- the way I look at the company is, over the last 2.5 years, the company has been developing the ASICs that are now in the market and are now certified, and those products that are now certified and being sold in 2020, already being shipped, already have orders and being shipped in 2020 beginning here at the end of Q2, and then going on throughout the remainder of 2020 for existing products today -- sensors in both the payment card market and in the information security market. So you'll see sales on those and then of course, you'll see significantly higher volumes on TrustedBio, but you'll see sales on both. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unidentified Analyst, [54] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay. So when do you expect to start to deliver? I know you're saying this coming fourth quarter. But... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derek P. D'Antilio, IDEX Biometrics ASA - CFO [55] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, no. Second quarter. We'll start shipping existing products -- we have the orders we have for existing products today, we'll be shipping beginning at the end of the second quarter here. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unidentified Analyst, [56] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, I know that. But I was talking now about the TrustedBio that's coming in the fourth quarter. When do you think you can start to invoice and get high volume orders for that one? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Graziani, IDEX Biometrics ASA - CEO [57] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Depending on how quickly IDEMIA gets that card manufacturing done certified and begin to ramp, we expect for sure by the second half of next year, but probably possible by the end of Q2. Again, that's based on the schedules we know today. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

F.eks. $5.50 ASP for sensoren.

Instämmer angående volym och ramp up.
