Prosafe finds new job for Safe Concordia unit

Offshore accommodation rigs provider Prosafe has won a contract for one of its units for operations offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

Prosafe said in a statement on Tuesday it has signed a contract to provide accommodation and construction support using the Safe Concordia in Trinidad and Tobago.

The contract is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2021.

Offshore accommodation rig provider Prosafe has been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips to provide accommodation support using either the Safe Boreas or Safe Zephyrus flotel on the Ekofisk field located offshore Norway.

This is related to the tie-in of the Tommeliten Alpha field development, Prosafe explained on Monday.

Prosafe also said that the firm duration of the contract is 90 days, starting in 2Q 2022, with an option of up to 60 days.

The total value of the contract, excluding the option period, is approximately $13.6 million.

Prosafe noted that the contract has cancellation charges that apply if the Tommeliten Alpha plan for development and operation (PDO) is not approved by Norwegian authorities.

Jesper Kragh Andresen, CEO of Prosafe said: “Prosafe is pleased to have been awarded a contract in 2022 for operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf”.

Tommeliten Alpha is a discovery in the southern part of the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. It is situated approximately 25 kilometres southwest of the Ekofisk field.

The water depth is approximately 75 meters. The field was discovered in 1977. The reservoir contains a gas condensate fluid and lies at a depth of approximately 3,000 meters.

ConocoPhillips has already awarded a contract for the Tommeliten Alpha subsea production system to Aker Solutions.

The scope of work includes 10 vertical subsea trees, two manifolds, wellheads, satellite structures, control systems as well as tie-in equipment.

In addition to subsea, Aker Solutions also secured a FEED contract for modifications on the Ekofisk installations to integrate the Tommeliten Alpha discovery.

Prosafe has not revealed the name of the client nor the value of the contract.

Safe Concordia is a DP2 semi-submersible ASV with 461 beds for worldwide operations, excluding Norway.

The vessel was constructed at Keppel FELS shipyard in Singapore and delivered in March 2005. An upgrade was completed in July 2015.

Safe Concordia’s flexible design allows for up to 1300m2 of lay down and deck area.

During 2011, the Safe Concordia operated for Petrobras in Brazil’s Campos Basin and claimed an industry milestone when it was the first dynamically positioned ASV ever to operate gangway connected to a turret moored FPSO, according to Prosafe.

The accommodation rig also operated for Equinor in Brazil on the Peregrino project. The unit provided gangway connected operations supporting maintenance and safety services at the Peregrino FPSO in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.

The contract had a duration of 120 days, starting mid-January 2020with up to 60 days of extension options.

Stoppet på 1.91. Hadde en kjøpsordre på 1.93, men gikk ikke igjennom før deadlinen. Tenker at det uansett kan være greit å ha litt is i magen. Vi kan muligens se en liten (forhåpentligvis) korreksjon i morgen og få en bedre inngangspris. Skal sørge for å stå opp tidlig i allefall for å få med meg startkursen.

Hvor har du dette tallet fra? Der er jo helt feil. Prosafe har negativ egenkapital på flere hundre millioner dollar.

Bare dette burde jo gi en kurs langt over det vi ser nå?

Mer krutt=mer kapasitet når markedet vokser,,,,og etterspørselen stiger i takt med høyere oljepris. Mange har grense på 50 dollar for å tjene penger---- nå er vi snart på 60 dollar fatet......

Når vil de eventuelt hente inn flere båter?

Trenger ikke flere kontrakter for at den skal i 8,50.....
Boka er fyllt opp 70% bare i 2021. Spørsmålet er hvor mye mer den skal over 8,50 ved å hente inn nye båter så kapasiteten øker med 1000 sengeplasser..
og dette henger i høyeste grad sammen med høyere oljepris. Da vil etterspørselen øke da flere feltutbygginger blir iverksatt verden over. Det er der disse båtene brukes, altså hotell på sjøen...

Forstår ikke hva vi gjør på disse nivåene under kr 3-4 kroner jeg, men les "tråden" Reprising så kan du lese deg opp:)

Eller som en annen skrev: De har nå like mange oppdrag som i 2019 og kursen stod i kr 14 !! Oljeprisen er også høyere nå enn i 2019...

Kanskje kursmål burde vært 14?
