Panoro Energy - Provisional Exploration License Award Offshore Gabon

Oslo, 11 October 2021 - Panoro Energy ASA ("Panoro") is pleased to announce that
it has provisionally been awarded a 25.0% non-operated interest in exploration
blocks G12-13 and H12-13 offshore shallow water Gabon, as notified in writing by
the Minister of Petroleum, Gas and Mining of the Republic of Gabon. The
provisional license award is part of the 12th Offshore Licensing Round and
remains subject to final agreement of the terms of the production sharing
contracts (PSC's) with the Government of Gabon. Partners in the blocks will
include BW Energy (37.5% and operator) and VAALCO Energy (37.5%).

The G12-13 and H12-13 blocks cover a surface area of 2,989 km2 and 1,929 km2
respectively and are adjacent to the producing Dussafu Marin Permit ("Dussafu
PSC") in which Panoro holds a 17.5% interest and is partnered with BW Energy.
The G12-13 block is also adjacent to the producing Etame Marin PSC which is
operated by VAALCO Energy. Both the Dussafu PSC and Etame Marin PSC continue to
be successfully explored and developed by the partners with an estimated
combined 250 million barrels discovered to date and multiple fields put into
production.

It is expected that the PSC's over the two blocks will have an exploration
period of eight years with an option to extend by a further two years. During
the exploration period the partners intend to carry out a work programme which
may include reprocessing of existing seismic, new seismic acquisition and
exploration drilling.

John Hamilton, CEO of Panoro, commented:

"Panoro has been present in Gabon since 2008, during which time we have
organically grown reserves and production at the Dussafu Marin Permit and in so
doing developed an in-depth understanding of the hydrocarbon geology and
operating environment. Blocks G12-13 and H12-13 are a logical and contiguous
extension of our footprint in a core area and by forming an exciting partnership
with BW Energy and VAALCO Energy, we will be able to leverage our collective
experience to mature and high grade the exploration potential on the blocks in
the coming years. Panoro remains committed to grow in Gabon and further expand
its partnership with the Gabonese Government and other stakeholders."

«Oil at seven-year high
Multinational
LONDON, October 15, 2021 – Oil was up Friday morning in Asia and was set to end the week with gains of more than 2%. There are increasing signs of tight supply over the next few months as soaring gas and coal prices are encouraging a switch to oil products.»

« The consortium of VAALCO, BW Energy and Panoro Energy has been provisionally awarded two blocks in the 12th Offshore Licensing Round in Gabon. The award is subject to concluding the terms of the production sharing contracts (“PSC”) with the Gabonese government. BW Energy will be the operator with a 37.5% working interest, with VAALCO (37.5% working interest) and Panoro Energy (25% working interest) as non-operating joint owners. The two blocks, G12-13 and H12-13, are adjacent to VAALCO’s Etame PSC as well as BW Energy and Panoro’s Dussafu PSC offshore Southern Gabon, and cover an area of 2,989 square kilometers and 1,929 square kilometers, respectively. Both Etame and Dussafu have been highly successful exploration, development and production projects undertaken by the consortium members over the past 20 years with approximately 250 million barrels discovered to date.

The two blocks will be held by the consortium and the PSCs over the blocks will have two exploration periods totaling eight years which may be extended by two additional years. During the first exploration period, the joint owners intend to reprocess existing seismic and carry out a 3-D seismic campaign on these two blocks and have also committed to drilling one exploration well on each of the two blocks. In the event the consortium elects to enter the second exploration period, the consortium will be committed to drilling at least one exploration well on each of the awarded blocks.»

ENI prepares to pack its bags

The Italian oil major, which has reportedly found a buyer for its D3/D4 blocks, is putting the finishing touches to its very likely departure from Gabon's offshore. [...] (270 words

Eni kjøpte I 2008 og som meldt I 2014 og hentet på nettet:

Eni has made an important gas and condensates discovery in the Nyonie Deep exploration prospect located in block D4, approximately 13 kilometers from the coast of Gabon and 50 kilometers from the capital city Libreville.

Preliminary estimates suggest the new gas discovery is significant, with initial potential in place estimated at 500 million boe. The discovery was made in the pre-salt of Gabon through the NFW Nyonie Deep 1 well, which was drilled in 28 meters of water depth, reaching a total depth of 4,314 meters.

The well encountered a thick hydrocarbon bearing section (320 meters) in the pre-salt clastic sequence of Aptian age. The structure, which extends more than 40 squared kilometers, covers two offshore exploration blocks, both operated by Eni (with a 100% stake.)

Vil tro at bade PEN, BWE etc. sitter fullastet i Gabon.
