SOFF: Solstad Offshore, Aker Solutions and DeepOcean create offshore renewables alliance
October 14th, 2021 - Solstad Offshore ASA (Solstad Offshore), Aker Solutions ASA
(Aker Solutions) and DeepOcean Norway AS (DeepOcean) and have joined forces to
create Windstaller Alliance. The new partnership aims to provide the world's
most cost-efficient and complete product supply, fabrication and marine services
offering within offshore wind. The alliance will also pursue other offshore
renewables segments.
Windstaller Alliance will combine the already well-established capabilities and
expertise of the three offshore industry leaders. This will form an integrated
and highly flexible one-stop-shop provider. The alliance will be able to offer
product deliveries, fabrication services as well as marine and subsea operations
and associated engineering services within offshore renewables industries.
"In terms of competence, size and asset base, Windstaller Alliance's offering is
probably unrivalled in the marketplace. However, it is how we will integrate and
join the three companies' offerings that will create the real value for both
operators and us suppliers," says Lars Peder Solstad, CEO of Solstad Offshore.
The Windstaller Alliance will market the three companies' offering, identify and
pursue business opportunities where they cost-efficiently can combine their
technologies, capabilities, experience and resources to deliver an unrivalled
service to the offshore renewables sector.
The Windstaller Alliance aims to cut the amount of supplier interfaces, thereby
reducing technical and commercial project risk as well as execution time through
better integration of services, project management and maritime asset
utilization.

MARKET-LEADING ASSETS AND COMPETENCE BASE
Windstaller Alliance has access to a substantial product, fabrication and marine
services portfolio with related engineering and project management capabilities
through Aker Solutions and DeepOcean. Aker Solutions also has more than 15,000
employees and world class expertise within complex fabrication of substructures
for wind turbines, including four state-of-the-art yards and a broad product
offering within subsea and topside equipment.
Ocean service provider DeepOcean adds extensive experience from offshore
renewables, including dedicated assets for the renewables markets, including
trenchers and cable repair spreads. The company provides the alliance with
specialized subsea installation and service solutions for offshore renewables
through 900 employees, and more than 50 ROVs.
Solstad Offshore, which has supported offshore wind farm installations,
operations and maintenance since 2009, contributes through a global presence
with more than 3,600 employees and a fleet of 90 vessels available to the
alliance.
ALLIANCE OFFERING
The alliance members will cooperate to jointly identify market opportunities and
agree on a case-by-case basis which prospects and solutions to pursue. The exact
execution scope and cooperation model on a specific project will be set up based
on client preferences and market conditions.
In the preparatory phase for marine operations of offshore renewables projects,
Windstaller Alliance will deliver engineering services as well as subsea survey,
inspection and site preparation services.
The alliance may also provide product deliveries such as subsea technologies
plus fabrication of substructures carrying wind turbines, plus yard services
such as logistics, site management and crane operations. The alliance will
furthermore provide services to optimize product designs from a marine
operations perspective. In the installation phase, Windstaller Alliance has the
specialist competence to provide trenching and inter-array cable lay services,
and to conduct towing, mooring, hook-up and commissioning operations.
During the operations phase of an offshore renewables field, the alliance will
offer life of field IMR (inspection, maintenance and repair) services, CSOVs and
maintenance, modification and operations support for offshore structures.
"Windstaller Alliance can also offer project management capabilities. We believe
we have an ideal set-up to tear down existing efficiency silos, reduce project
risk and client cost. However, we will of course also provide a fully flexible
delivery and contracting model tailored to clients' needs. The difference is

SUSTAINABILITY DRIVE
Windstaller has also outlined a commitment to reach a zero emissions target.
Supporting this goal, Solstad Offshore, Aker Solutions and DeepOcean have all
announced targets to cut emissions by 45-50 percent by 2030.
A third of DeepOcean's fleet is aimed to be on hybrid power by 2022, and the
company considers a pilot upgrade to hydrogen fuel cells. Solstad Offshore's
fleet currently has 15 vessels on battery or shore power, and the company
expects to upgrade 30 percent of its 90-strong vessel fleet to hybrid solutions
by 2025.
Aker Solutions, meanwhile, aims to achieve a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030.

Desember 2020 uttalte DNB Soff som et case med ekstrem stor oppside, aksjen falt så rett ned 50%og har siden blitt liggende der.
Den gang lå olje markedet nede, noe som ikke er tilfelle nå.

helt klart en start på noe, SOFF opp over 700% på RATIO. så får vi bare ha tålmodighet, sitte i båten og vente til rallyet starter. Fortsatt fine innganger i et marked som skal oppover folkens.
Det siste 1/2 året har det vært en jevn bullish info flyt fra Solstad.
Enhver positiv melding har blitt besvart med å høvle aksjen ned, en mot all sunn fornuft utvikling.
Det gjør ingen ting, for det kan ikke vedvare over tid og den kloke investor benytter jo selvfølgelig galskapen til å laste opp på lave nivåer.
Dagens melding bekrefter det jeg hele tiden har trodd, skal man satse penger i denne bransjen er det JF og Røkke en skal gå etter.
De har muskler, kompetanse og baller til å gjøre noe, og de gjør det.
Markedet har i lang lang tid sett forbi mulighetene som ligger i Solstad caset, i stedet for å se det positive og mulighetene har all fokus hele tiden vært rettet mot problem skipet.
Dagens hete oljemarked gir stor skipet langt bedre odds til å lykkes en det vi så for 1/2 år tilbake, den hete olje pris gir skipet mulighet til ny lang kontrakt og muligheter for refinansiering, eventuelt et salg.
De som ikke tør benytte slike muligheter i aksjemarkedene vil aldri tjene penger i aksje markedet.
Jeg antar den positive flyt meldinger vil fortsette på rekke og rad i dette caset fremover.
Dagens melding gir også godt potensiale for at en helt annen type investorer vil se og kjøpe caset.

Tilsynelatende virker det som foregår fra Hemen sin side med aksjelån fra DNB og nedsalg som at JF vil omgå lockup og selge seg ut før den 31.12.
Samtidig kan man ikke ikke være 100% sikker, det tror jeg ingen kan være på hva som foregår.
Vi får bare se, inntil NM kontrakt meldes vil Hemens nedsalg holde kursen nede på dette nivået inntil dem ikke har mer å selge.
En NM kontrakt vil sette ekstrem fart i volumet og nedsalget vil gå betydelig raskere.
I tillegg har man flere CSV'er man nå kan vente nye kontraktsmeldinger for, hvilken dag som helst.
Man skal heller ikke se bort fra at man snart kommer til at man ønsker en kapitalinnhenting ifbm Windstaller Alliansen, selv er jeg rimelig sikker på at Solstad Offshore vil innen kort tid melde om at dem går til bestilling av 1 eller 2 Heavy Lift Cargo Vessel(HLCV).
Dette trenger Soff og dette trenger man i alliansen.

Man skal heller ikke se bort fra at man snart kommer til at man ønsker en kapitalinnhenting ifbm Windstaller Alliansen, selv er jeg rimelig sikker på at Solstad Offshore vil innen kort tid melde om at dem går til bestilling av 1 eller 2 Heavy Lift Cargo Vessel(HLCV).
Dette trenger Soff og dette trenger man i alliansen.

Det er kanskje lite sannsynlig, men en kan ikke se bort fra at Hemen har en "underhåndsavtale" om å "kjøpe" Dnbs lånte aksjer til "markedspris" på et gitt fremtidig tidspunkt. I så fall kan en forstå hensikten med å holde kursen nede i form av små nedsalg. Jeg har vanskelig for å tro at Fredriksen har til hensikt å selge seg ut i en bransje som er på bunnen av en syklus. Dette vil i så fall i strid med hans tidligere investeringsstrategier.

Kan ikke se at det er grunn til bekymring om Storeulv selger seg ut, 99,9% av alle i markedet tror jo at det er det som foregår.

Takk for gode refleksjoner og tilbakemeldinger. Enig at det er tidlig, selv om jeg tenker at JF er på vei ut. Uansett, som påpekes, det trenger ikke bety så mye for SOFF (utenom kortsiktig demper mtp salgspress over børs). Røkke ser ut til å ha flere grunner til å bli værende, bla. fornybar satsingen. Kan være så enkelt at dette strategiske skiftet for Soff ikke var forenelig med Hemen sin oppfatning/satsingsområde

Det meldte salget innebærer kryssing av 15% grensen. Så kan F fortsette å selge uten å melde til han kommer til 10%. Hva planen hans er, har jeg ikke peiling på. Men Røkke er bedre på oljeservice enn Fredriksen, så jeg bekymrer meg ikke så mye for dette. Litt disiplin i psv og ahts markedene er alt som skal til før raketten tar fyr!

Hva Hemen/Fredriksen har til hensikt kan diskuteres, den ene teorien trenger ikke være bedre/verre enn den andre. Det vi kan slå fast er at Hemen har redusert beholdningen av aksjer fra 18,4 %, som de disponerte etter aksjelånet hos Dnb, til 14,8% pr 14/8. Dette utgjør i overkant av 5,5 mill aksjer og vil klart influere på aksjekursen til et underestimert aksjeselskap med en dagsomsetning av aksjer normalt på noen titusen, om en ser bort fra omsetningen etter at samarbeidsmeldingen ble offentliggjort. Om kursen fortsatt kan holdes i sjakk med nedsalg gjenstår å se, men den gir i allefall mulighet for en gunstig inngang i et selskap med tiden foran seg i en syklus på vei opp.
