SB1M starter dekning på DOFG

DOF (Buy, TP NOK70)
Initiation of Coverage

Investment summary

We initiate coverage on DOF Group with a Buy, target price NOK70

On our target price, DOF would trade on a FCF to EV of 8-18%, 4-6x EV/EBITDA and 5-8x EV/EBIT

• Even at our target price, we would regard multiples for DOF as modest, implying further potential upside

• DOF converted NOK5.2bn of debt to equity in relation to the refinancing of the company earlier in 2023. The share re-listed on
Oslo Stock Exchange in June 2023

– The debt conversion caused DOF’s leverage ratio to drop from 5.3x NIBD/EBITDA at year-end 2022 to 3.7x end Q1/23
– Improved market conditions, especially in the key subsea market for DOF’s part (Subsea represented 78% of Q2/23 EBITDA in DOF),
caused leverage ratio to drop further to 3.3x by end Q2/23
– We expect continued market improvements in the subsea market driven by the strong cash flow generated by E&P companies,
Petrobras’ growth ambitions (Brazil is the most important single market for DOF), and the stable subsea supply side
– By end-2025 we expect DOF’s leverage ratio to have dropped below 2x NIBD/EBITDA, which should make a refinancing before the
upcoming January 2026 debt maturity a non-issue

• We initiate coverage on DOF with a Buy recommendation and NOK70 target price

– At our target price, DOF would trade on a FCF to EV of 8-18%, an EV/EBITDA multiple of 4-6x (2023e-2025e) and an EV/EBIT of 5-8x
(2023e-2025e)
– We assume DOF will use its cash flow going forward to pay down debt, partly also due to cash sweeps being in place. If our estimates
are roughly correct, DOF would be in position to pay dividends once refinancing of 2026 debt is done in 2025, meaning a potential first
dividend could be paid in 2026

• DOF announced the sale of Skandi Captain (2003, 3300dwt) to an ‘international

• The vessel is the last of the three small PSVs DOF acquired from the banks in

• We understand the sales price is USD 10-11m (NOK 110-120m) which is

20 year SPS ahead of delivery to be covered by DOF explaining some of the

• After this, DOFG will have 7x PSVs remaining valued at NOK 1.5bn in our NAV.
These are not core to the company’s offering and probably for sale at the right
price

Nekkar-led consortium awarded grant
14.12.2023 08:48:11 CET | Nekkar ASA | Non-regulatory press releases

14 December 2023 - A project consortium headed by Nekkar ASA, and including
Kongsberg Maritime, DOF, an undisclosed global wind farm developer and several
leading research institutions, has conditionally been awarded a research and
innovation grant of NOK 75.2 million, in total, through the Norwegian
government's Green Platform Initiative.

The consortium, which also includes GCE Node, NORCE, Sustainable Energy Catapult
Center, Sintef Ocean and University of Agder, aims to develop a safe and
efficient solution for main component replacement (MCR) on offshore wind
turbines - thereby realizing significant reductions in time, cost and loss of
revenue due to downtime.

The project will develop a remote-controlled, self-hoisting lifting equipment,
based on Nekkar's SkyWalker wind turbine installation tool, that moves up and
down the turbine tower to replace the main components like gearbox, blade, etc.
while on-site offshore.

Also, a 3D motion-compensated crane will be developed with the purpose of
lifting SkyWalker from a floating vessel to a floating turbine. Further,
specifications of a multi-purpose vessel integrating the requirements of
SkyWalker and 3D crane will be developed. The project will also evaluate the
impact of the solution from a total wind farm perspective using and developing
existing tools for offshore logistics, vessel design, and marine operations.

The objective is to develop a main component replacement solution that can be
utilised offshore on both floating and fixed-bottom wind turbine generators
across OEMs, both for newbuilds as well as the installed base.

The project is contingent approval of capital contributions from each project
partner to activate the NOK 75.2 million funding from the Green Platform
Initiative. The project partners expect to conclude this process during the
first quarter of 2024, at which point further information about the project and
funding will be shared.

The Green Platform Initiative provides funding for enterprises and research
institutes engaged in green growth and restructuring driven by research and
innovation. The Norwegian government uses the Green Platform Initiative to
stimulate bigger and more rapid investments from companies in green sustainable
solutions and products. The objective is to trigger opportunities for green
value creation through major projects. The projects should comprise the whole
value chain from research and knowledge production to testing, commercialisation
and industrialisation of sustainable, green products and services.

– Subsea 7-storyen funker bra.
