Vel, om Bagdad går i retning PSC, så er det allerede den varianten oljeselskapene har hatt med KRG.

Transfer contracts and start pumping!!!

Her snakker DNO om fortsatt økende utbytter. Også ekstraordinært utbytte hvis KRG betaler det de skylder oss. Hele beløpet tilsvarer ca 3,3 Nkr. : )

Kurdistan Ceyhan port Resuming KRGs Oil Exports Dr Jagar Aziz Harki Oil and Gas
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi government has incurred a financial loss of approximately $15 billion due to the suspension of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, according to Dr. Jagar Aziz Harki, an oil and gas expert.

On Tuesday, Dr. Harki revealed to Kurdistan24 that the halt in oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through the Turkish Ceyhan Port has severely impacted both the Iraqi and Kurdistan oil and gas industries.

He noted that the Iraqi government is losing over $900 million monthly due to the suspension, accumulating a total financial loss of about $15 billion.

Dr. Harki attributed the loss of trust from major global oil and gas companies to the Iraqi government's failure to resolve the issue surrounding Kurdistan's oil exports.

This has exacerbated Iraq's political and economic problems on the international stage, particularly as Turkey continues to pressure the federal government to resume Kurdistan's oil exports, which were a significant part of global production and exports before the suspension.............

Southern Iraq turning into a dried up polluted wasteland.

The Iraqi federal government has repeatedly urged neighboring countries to release more water, as the marshes continue to dry up, leaving vast areas barren and fishermen without work."

Erdogan will be keeping that particular card safe and close to his chest until next year when Baghdad ask if they can be included in the negotiations for the new pipeline agreement.

Basnews - Iraq Faces Severe Environmental Crises due to Pollution and Geopolitics.

ERBIL — Iraq is grappling with severe environmental challenges as drought, water shortages, and pollution take a devastating toll on the country’s natural resources and public health.

In the southern marshlands, a mass die-off of fish has sparked warnings of an “environmental and economic disaster.” The Hawizeh Marshes, located between Maysan and Basra on the Iraq-Iran border, have witnessed the deaths of millions of fish due to reduced water releases and oxygen levels, according to Hussein al-Mariani, a member of the Maysan provincial council. This crisis has decimated fish populations by 60% in some areas and led to significant losses of livestock, threatening the livelihoods of thousands who depend on agriculture and fishing.

The marshlands, once the largest wetland ecosystem in Western Eurasia, have been severely impacted by declining water levels from the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, exacerbated by upstream dams in Turkey and Iran. The United Nations warns that Iraq is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, facing severe water and food insecurity.

18/8/2024
11:06 2019 - "CNOOC Iraq Limited operates three oil fields in Missan Province in Iraq. They are all large onshore oilfields located 350 kilometers southeast of Baghdad.

In order to support reservoir pressure, plans are underway to implement a water injection scheme. The injection water comes from three different sources; produced water, aquifer water as well as river / agricultural water."

All of Iraq's southern fields rely on water injection to counter declining pressure and maintain production with massive amounts of water required for enhanced oil recovery."

That water is and has been coming from underground aquifers and river water which would otherwise be used for agriculture.

"Water injection volume depends on many factors like reservoir depth, crude viscosity, reservoir pressure, etc. However, at least twice to triple volume of oil production rate shall be considered."

So every barrel of oil produced needs 2-3 barrels of water and southern Iraq currently produces in the region of 5 million barrels of oil a day. So they're using 10-15 million barrels of fresh water a day.

Meanwhile Baghdad are crying their eyes out because Erdogan won't send them any more water and at the same time keeping his pipeline shut because they don't want Kurdistan to export their oil which doesn't need water injection and thus denying Turkey billions in revenues.

They're having to pay TOTAL $27 billion to build the new seawater project because they've used up all their fresh water to maintain and increase their oil production turning their country into a wasteland in the process and they're saying it's all Turkey's fault for not sending them enough water.

No wonder Erdogan said no.

You couldn't make it up.
