Press release of Pyrum Innovations AG

Pyrum Innovations AG pushes ahead with expansion of production capacity
• New subsidiary “Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH” established to operate second
Pyrum plant in Saarland
• Final preparations for first long-term operation of new recycling line in
Dillingen started

Dillingen / Saar, 18 January 2024 – Pyrum Innovations AG (“Pyrum”, the
“company”, ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of
end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, continues to
consistently pursue its growth course. At the beginning of January, the wholly
owned subsidiary "Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH" was founded to operate the second
Pyrum plant in Saarland. A new pyrolysis plant modelled on the plant in
Dillingen/Saar with a capacity of 20,000 tons of ELT per year is to be built in
Perl-Besch an der Mosel by the end of 2025. This will double Pyrum’s current
recycling capacity for ELT. Plant components with notoriously long delivery
times will be ordered in the first quarter of 2024.

Meanwhile, final preparations are underway at the main plant in Dillingen/Saar
for the first long-term operation of the new recycling line TAD 2, which is
scheduled to start today after the reactor was heated up to operating
temperature yesterday as part of the final tests. The line will then run for up
to three-weeks continuously under real conditions and with industrial
quantities. Following the successful test, Pyrum intends to switch directly into
permanent operation of the line with ongoing performance optimisations. The TAD
3 line is also expected to enter the final phase of the warm ramp-up by the end
of March 2024.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: "While we are finalising the last
work for the plant expansion in Dillingen, we are also starting the next chapter
in Perl-Besch full of energy thanks to the financing agreement recently reached
with BASF. The second Pyrum-owned plant is to be built there by the end of 2025.
We are also in the process of planning further joint plants with our partners
across Europe. These developments are not only proof of the success of our
unique technology, but also of our willingness to continuously invest in the
future of sustainable resource recovery."

About Pyrum Innovations AG
Pyrum Innovations AG is active in the attractive recycling market for
end-of-life tyres and various plastics with its patented pyrolysis technology.
Pyrum's pyrolysis process is largely energy self-sufficient and, according to
the Fraunhofer Institute, saves significantly more CO2 emissions than today's
standard recycling processes for end-of-life tyres - especially compared to
incineration in cement plants - and produces new raw materials such as pyrolysis
oil, gas and recovered carbon black from the waste used as input materials. In
this way, Pyrum closes the recyclable material loop and pursues a completely
sustainable business model. As a pioneer, Pyrum Innovations AG was the first
company in the end-of-life tyre recycling sector to receive REACH registration
from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for the pyrolysis oil it produces.
This means that the oil is recognised as an official raw material that can be
used in production processes. In addition, Pyrum has received ISCC PLUS
certification for the pyrolysis oil and the recovered carbon black. Both
products are thus considered sustainable and renewable raw materials. In
addition, Pyrum has received ISO 14001 certification for its environmental
management system and ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.
These achievements have also been recognised by international experts in the
tyre industry. For example, Pyrum won the Best Tyre Recycling Innovation
category at the inaugural Recircle Awards and has been a finalist in the Grand
Prix of German SMEs (Großer Preis des Mittelstandes) three times in a row.

Pyrum is the most advanced company in the chemical recycling of tyres. Today, they announced an update. Second Pyrum Plant in Operation!

Press Release
of Pyrum Innovations AG

Pyrum Innovations AG: New reactor in Dillingen already at 75% output during
second start-up run

• New reactor 2 (TAD 2) in Dillingen runs stably at 75% of nominal output
• Successful production of 30,000 litres of oil during second test run
• Warm commissioning of TAD 3 is expected to follow by the end of March 2024

Dillingen / Saar, 7 February 2024 - Pyrum Innovations AG (“Pyrum”, the
“Company”, ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of
end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, reports
initial successes in the commissioning of the new reactor 2 (TAD 2) at its main
plant in Dillingen/Saar. Since the start of the second test run on Tuesday, 30
January 2024, the throughput of the new reactor has already been gradually
increased to 75% of the expected output for future series production within a
week. This means that industrial quantities of ELT can already be processed in
TAD 2 and Pyrum's technology has provided proof of concept for the planned
large-scale rollout. More than 30,000 litres of oil have already been produced
and are now being sampled in the laboratory before being delivered to BASF
within the next two weeks as planned.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: “We are all incredibly proud of this
result. Thanks to the perfect preparation of our team, we have managed to bring
the reactor to a stable throughput of 75% within a very short time - instead of
within three months as planned. If there were any doubts about our technology,
we can now dispel them: from a technical point of view, nothing stands in the
way of our rollout. The technology worked straight away. And thanks to the loan
from BASF, we have also overcome the biggest obstacles from a financial
perspective.”

The plan is now to maintain the throughput in TAD 2 at 75% to 80% over the next
few weeks and to optimise the processes between the individual parts of the
plant. TAD 3 is also set to be ramped up to 80% by the end of March 2024, which
means a tripling of the current production capacity.

Pascal Klein wrote to shareholders today. Below is his statement on the share price performance:

Finally, I would like to respond to your questions about our share price performance, which we receive on a regular basis. The fall in our share price affects me personally the most, not only financially but also morally. I feel responsible for every fall in the share price, even though I have no direct control over it. Our main problem lies in the imbalance between supply and demand for our shares, which are quite "market tight". Although we have many shareholders who buy our shares and only a handful who sell, these few, mostly institutional sellers, sell significantly more shares than the buyers take up on the market. This is also supported by the fact that the number of Pyrum shareholders has risen steadily since the IPO from just under 200 shareholders in 2021 to more than 5,000 shareholders at the beginning of 2024. In particular, we see that US-funds are currently withdrawing from the EU and especially from the ESG segment, which has also significantly increased the selling pressure on our share.

We are countering this situation by continuing to intensively cultivate and expand our investor network to attract new investors to our share. In doing so, we are increasingly targeting institutional investors who we want to convince of our success story. Building long-term relationships with institutional investors requires not only our high level of commitment but also a little time and trust. In addition, we, the Pyrum Management, will continue to do everything we can, both operationally and strategically, to achieve successful company development and thus a positive share performance.

I hope you have enjoyed this first issue of our investor newsletter, look forward to your feedback and thank you for your interest and trust in our company.

Yours, Pascal Klein

Pyrum today - third plant construction approved!

Dear shareholders,

Welcome to the first investor newsletter of Pyrum Innovations AG!

With our newsletter, which will be published quarterly from now on, we want to provide you with information about the latest developments in our company and current projects as well as insights into our future plans and visions. And we will endeavour to answer your most important questions, which we receive.

Our 2024 business year has already got off to a very good start. While we started operating our new plant in Dillingen and have already reached 75% of nominal output, we were also able to embark on the next chapter of our expansion course thanks to the financing agreement recently concluded with BASF.

New plant in Saarland in Perl-Besch on the Mosel

With the founding of our subsidiary "Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH", we have paved the way for the expansion of our production capacities with a second plant in Saarland, Germany. By the end of 2025, the second Pyrum-owned pyrolysis plant is to be built at the site in Perl-Besch on the Mosel, modelled on our plant in Dillingen, with a capacity of 20,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres (ELT) per year, which will double our existing recycling capacity. We have already received the positive local council and municipal resolution with an absolute majority and the new development plan, which we have adapted in our favour, was also approved by the municipal council with a large majority. As part of a public presentation at the new site in Perl-Besch, we also answered questions from residents, discussed the project with them and allayed any concerns. We are therefore very confident that we will be able to start construction in the second half of 2024; we have already ordered plant components with notoriously long delivery times.

As the city had underestimated the impact of the water protection area at our originally planned location in Homburg and we were unable to obtain the necessary special permits and exemptions we had been promised, we are very happy to have found a new, very suitable location in Perl-Besch so quickly. We would like to thank the Saarland state government, the Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation, the municipality of Perl and the Hippert family.

Europe-wide expansion together with partners

In addition to our expansion in Saarland, we are also planning further joint plants with our partners across Europe. Following the successful project acquisition phase of the last twelve months, nothing stands in the way of the realisation of our concrete rollout plan with the start of construction of up to six plants by the end of 2025. On the project side, we are virtually "sold out" until the end of 2026 and are now looking forward to realisation. These developments are not only proof of the success of our unique technology, but also of our willingness to continuously invest in the future of sustainable waste utilisation.

Financing secured for further rollout

The financing is the most important step towards the commercial rollout of our unique pyrolysis technology in order to be able to meet the high demand for our products in the future. The great support of our partner BASF, which has provided us with EUR 50 million – in two tranches of EUR 25 million each – as ramp-up financing to enable us to realise our planned plants, deserves special mention here. This support is so important for us because we are currently in a phase of the company where we are already far too big for venture capital financing, but still somewhat too small for many banks and project financiers. The phase between proving that a new technology works and generating stable results – i.e. the industrial rollout – is a very big challenge for companies after the start-up phase in terms of financing. Only with a strategic partner and investor like BASF is it therefore possible for us to realise our growth course and thus overcome the phase of a lack of financing options – the so-called "Valley of Death". This opens up numerous financing options for us. We are therefore very pleased about the valuable cooperation with BASF and the trust that BASF is once again placing in us with this new agreement.

Pyrum Innovations AG reaches next milestone: First oil delivery from the new plant on its way to BASF

Positive sampling - pyrolysis oil from the new plant fulfils all required specifications
First oil delivery from new reactor 2 in Dillingen is delivered to BASF
Next commissioning run with focus on in-house power generation from pyrolysis gas planned within the next two weeks
Dillingen / Saar, 21 February 2024 - Pyrum Innovations AG (“Pyrum”, the “Company”, ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8), a pioneer in the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tyres (ELT) based on its patented pyrolysis technology, has reached a new milestone with reactor 2 (TAD 2) of the new plant at its main site in Dillingen/Saar. In the course of the third commissioning run of TAD 2, the first truck with a delivery volume of around 24,000 litres of pyrolysis oil will be sent to BASF this morning. Following the last test run, the pyrolysis oil was carefully tested to ensure that it met all the required specifications. The sampling of the oil was successful, so delivery to BASF can proceed as planned and there are no more obstacles to future deliveries. Around 60,000 litres of oil have already been produced at the new plant and further deliveries are expected in the near future.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: “The result speaks for itself. After three weeks of continuous production, we have reached a new milestone with the first delivery of our pyrolysis oil from TAD 2 to BASF. We are very proud to have achieved this ahead of schedule, which is largely due to the dedication of our team. We are now in a successful phase of our roll-out plan and are now preparing for our new intermediate goals – the in-house generation of electricity from TAD 2 and the first test run of TAD 3.”

Reactor 2 is now in the thermal cleaning phase before being completely shut down for further testing. The next operational run is planned within the next two weeks as part of the start of self-generation of electricity from the pyrolysis gas in the turbines.

The lessons learned from the TAD 2 test runs are now being applied to the third reactor in Dillingen. Preparations for the first test run should be completed by the end of March, with the aim of rapidly ramping up this reactor to 80% of its nominal capacity. The new plant will triple the previous production capacity.

Production start of the plant planned for 2027
Dillingen/ Saar, 8 March 2024 - Pyrum Innovations AG ("Pyrum", the "Company", ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8) has laid the foundation for its market entry in Scandinavia. Last week, a consulting agreement was signed between GreenTech Recycling Tires AB and Pyrum Innovations AG for the construction of a joint pyrolysis plant in Sweden. It is planned that Pyrum will participate in the SPV with up to EUR 3 million, provided that GreenTech's financing has been fully secured. The company is currently conducting talks in this regard. At the same time, GreenTech Recycling Tires AB has already reserved a suitable site in Billingsfors, Sweden, held talks with tire suppliers and, with Pyrum's support, will soon begin compiling the necessary approval documents. The official start of the project in the form of the commencement of work on the basic engineering is scheduled for the beginning of July this year. Both partners are aiming to build a plant with a recycling capacity of 20,000 tonnes of end-of-life tires per year. Production is scheduled to start in 2027.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: "We are very pleased about the cooperation with GreenTech as well as the trust placed in our Pyrum technology. With the construction of the joint plant in Sweden, we are taking the first major step towards opening up the Scandinavian market. We are looking forward to the new project with confidence and are now starting the further planning full of vigour."

“For us at GreenTech Recycling Tires AB, the agreement with Pyrum Innovation AG is our stepping stone in recycling end-of-life tires from cars and trucks, fully reusing them to make new tires, plastics and steel products instead of incineration”, says Per-Olov Lindgren Chairman of the Board of GreenTech Recycling Tires AB. “This is the last piece in the value chain for us, since we already today have both the supply of tires and offset of the produced products when our plant is in place”, continues Mr Lindgren.

GreenTech Recycling Tires AB’s business model is to obtain valuable products through the recycling of end-of-life tires. The consulting agreement that has now been concluded is Pyrum’s third concrete contractual agreement for the construction of a recycling plant in addition to the project with Thermo Lysi SA in Greece and the planned plant in the Czech Republic.

1,000,000 recycled tires

A milestone: Since the introduction of our recycling system, which is still unique today, one million bicycle tires have been collected, recycled and thus returned to the cycle. In concrete terms, this means that they are used to produce new tires. We now make 70 percent of our range with recycled carbon black, which is a direct product from the recycling process. And of course we continue to research!

Second Pyrum plant running at 100% Positive!

Pyrum Innovations AG: First 100% operation in the new plant in Dillingen/Saar successfully completed
• First test operation at maximum plant capacity in TAD 3
• Oil and gas production reached 95% of planned maximum output
• Next MaxCap test with TAD 2 planned in the next two weeks
Dillingen / Saar, 10 October 2024 - Pyrum Innovations AG (“Pyrum”, the “company”, ISIN: DE000A2G8ZX8) has successfully completed the first so-called MaxCap test, a trial run at 100% capacity, at the new plant in Dillingen/Saar. During the week from 27 September to 4 October, the solids throughput of the TAD 3 line was slowly increased to full capacity and maintained for one week after three weeks of partial load operation. The goal of four weeks of continuous operation with maximum throughput at the end was achieved and the scheduled maintenance shutdown took place.
During the first maximum capacity test, the solid part of the plant reached 100% of the designed maximum output. Oil and gas production reached 95%. A blockage occurred in the quench pump, which transports the oil and gas vapour from the reactor to the condensers, causing the oil and gas production to remain at 95% and not increase to 100%. In normal operation, a reserve pump is available for such cases, which was not used for the first MaxCap test operation.
Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: “The results of our first MaxCap test are extremely satisfying. The fact that we were able to immediately ramp up the plant's rCB production to 100% capacity and bring oil and gas production directly to 95% demonstrates the efficiency of our processes. We will also achieve the remaining 5% performance. We are already well ahead of our original ramp-up plan, which envisaged operating at 80% performance over a period of six months. The fact that we have already exceeded this plan confirms our progress. Our team has done an excellent job and we are motivated to tackle the next milestones and also to reduce the maintenance and optimisation interruptions between plant runs.”
