Horisont Energi har et stort gap mellom markedsverdi og potensiale for selskapet. Spennende artikkel dette. Kan bli bra hvis store aktører er villig til å satse på dette. Kan jo komme bud på hele selskapet?

Investments
North Energy divides its investment activities in two segments:
Industrial Holdings
Financial Investments
Industrial Holdings
The majority of North Energy’s investment portfolio is expected to be deployed within Industrial Holdings. Within this segment we target investments in high quality companies based on active ownership with a long-term perspective.
Financial investments
Within the Financial Investments segment North Energy seeks to generate excess returns with its surplus liquidity through equity and credit investments. These investments generally have much shorter time horizons than investments within the Industrial Holdings segment, and are generally based on an opportunistic approach.

Sandnes, Norway 21 October 2024: Horisont Energi (EURONEXT: HRGI) has agreed with a leading global technology company to cooperate on the development of carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects in Europe (outside Norway).
The collaboration includes joint development of end-to-end CCS projects where Horisont Energi is intended to take the role as carbon storage project developer and operator.
Horisont Energi established a new company structure earlier this year with three separate subsidiaries namely Horisont Ammoniakk, Horisont Karbon and Horisont Infra, to facilitate pureplay industrial partnerships. Horisont Karbon is the subsidiary in which the new industrial CCS collaboration will be developed.
“We are now seeing the effect of the significant competence, know-how and organisational capabilities Horisont Energi has built within CCS over the last five years. Our collaboration with a company with trusted experience, innovative technologies, and execution capabilities will facilitate new market entries, strengthen and complement our capabilities, and contribute to the development of new pioneering projects in Europe," say Horisont Energi’s Co-CEOs Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen and Leiv Kallestad.
The collaboration may over time also positively impact value creation for our Norwegian projects and contribute to risk mitigation in support of project realisation.
CCS is a crucial technology for reducing CO2 emissions and plays an essential role in achieving our shared climate goals. The market potential is significant, and to advance the CCS market, it is vital to establish well-coordinated value chains and frameworks. These will ensure alignment of timelines across the various stakeholders, from the capture phase through to carbon sequestration.

Horisont Energi publishes 2024 results and annual report
Sandnes, Norway 27 March 2025: Horisont Energi (EURONEXT: HRGI) has today published its annual report for 2024.
2024 marked a year of transition for Horisont Energi, as a slowdown in the green transition had an adverse impact on project timelines. Despite these challenges, the company has achieved commercial progress, strengthened strategic partnerships, and streamlined operations to support long-term value creation.
2024 Key Business Development Activities
• Obtained status as EU Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) for the Gismarvik CO2 hub
• Extended option agreement with Haugaland Næringspark for the realisation of the Gismarvik CO2 hub.
• Reservation of power supply confirmed by Fagne 10 MW covering the first phase of the Gismarvik CO2 hub
project.
• Collaboration agreement for the Norway-Netherlands CO2 corridor with ECOLOG.
• Joined new industry coalition to develop green fuels and CO2 corridors and connect Portugal and Northern
Europe, led by Madoqua Renewables and featuring leaders like Cargill, Mitsui and Siemens.
• Decision on Concretisation (BoK) for Polaris extended until May 2025 – seeking new operating partner.
Subsequent Events
• Signed the first term-sheet (non-binding) for gas supply from the Snøhvit LNG facility at Melkøya in
Northern Norway passing a milestone for the Barents Blue project.
• Progressing partnership dialogues to develop the Barents Blue project after Fertiberia exited in Q1 2025.
• Signed ammonia sales term-sheet (non-binding) with European energy group.
Financial Highlights
• Reported income of NOK 4.0 million, primarily paid feasibility studies for the Gismarvik CO₂ hub project.
• Operating loss reduced to NOK 115.4 million compared to NOK 203.0 million in 2023, reflecting cost
measures.
• Cash and equivalents at NOK 82.3 million at year-end compared to NOK 200.4 million in 2023.
• Currently funded to complete planned project development into 2026, assuming that additional activities
related to the next phase of the projects will be financed through successful completion of ongoing and
planned financing processes.

Project Review
Barents Blue
Barents Blue is the first project aiming to build a world-scale clean ammonia plant in Europe, producing ammonia from clean water, renewable energy, and low-carbon natural gas. Capturing CO₂ for permanent storage in the Polaris offshore reservoir or an alternative reservoir will enable the removal of more than 99% of the CO₂.
Barents Blue is an EU IPCEI Hydrogen project granted NOK 482 million in support for FEED, project R&D and construction, setting the highest environmental standards for clean ammonia production. From 2023 to February 2025, the project has been progressed by Horisont Energi and Fertiberia in a 50/50 partnership.
The collaboration with Fertiberia stopped in February 2025, and the Company is working to attract new industrial and financial partners to realise the project. In early 2025, Horisont Energi secured non-binding term sheets for gas supply from Snøhvit LNG (February) and ammonia sales to a European energy group (March), key steps forward for Barents Blue project and the establishment of clean ammonia production in Norway.

Project Review
Gismarvik CO ₂ hub
The Gismarvik CO ₂ hub in Rogaland holds the potential to play an important role in enabling local and European CCS large scale value chains. With a planned future annual injection capacity up to 24 million tonnes of CO₂, this is the largest planned terminal of its kind in Norway to enhance circular economy. The terminal can, if developed, offer large economies of scale thanks to both cost efficient design and potential for optimized and shared infrastructure as the terminal is within reach of several awarded licences as of today.
The location at Haugaland Næringspark is optimal with all required infrastructure planned to be available, including a new planned 420kV power line which will supply the region with sufficient power for both planned and future industrial developments. Horisont Energi collaborated closely with all stakeholders in the CCS value chain, conducting feasibility studies for both emitters and storage licences. Additionally, a joint synergy study was carried out to highlight the competitive advantages of the Gismarvik CO ₂ hub concept. The company has been working on a seawater cooling system as an integrated part of the company’s planned Gismarvik CO ₂ hub project. The plan is to develop this seawater cooling system as a standalone project together with a partner for the purpose of delivering sustainable and efficient seawater cooling solutions for industrial customers at Haugaland Næringspark. Seawater cooling is very environmentally friendly and more than ten times as efficient compared to cooling using air.

Horisont Energi joins industry coalition to develop green fuels and CO2 corridors
Sandnes, Norway – 10 December 2024: Together with 30 other companies, Horisont Energi (EURONEXT: HRGI) is joining a new industry coalition led by Madoqua Renewables to develop a robust green fuels and CO2 value chain connecting Portugal to Northern Europe and Norway. The forming of the coalition has today been formalized by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The coalition features global leaders like Cargill, Norwegian Cruise Line, Mitsui, Siemens, Thyssenkrupp, Kellogg Brown and other industrial and infrastructure partners, as well as financing partners like ING Bank in the Netherlands and MUFG Bank in Japan, and terminal and port partners in Portugal, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands connecting to Gismarvik CO2 hub as the terminal partner in Norway for intermediate storage and CO2 sequestration.
"It is essential to think in terms of entire value chains when planning and building new green industries and realizing the full potential of carbon management as part of the green transition. This coalition is an effort to establish a functioning large-scale CO2 management market, and we are glad to contribute as a CO2 infrastructure and sequestration partner. This is a recognition of our competence in this field and in the potential of our planned Gismarvik CO2 hub in a European context," say Co-CEOs Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen and Leiv Kallestad.
The coalition partners will promote collaboration to build an efficient supply chain for CO2 sequestration to the Netherlands and further on to Norway and for green hydrogen derivatives from Portugal to the Netherlands and Germany. Horisont Energi’s Gismarvik CO2 hub will be the final and only hub for CO2 sequestration and storage in this coalition and in this value chain.
“Energy transition is a journey, where partnerships are key to success. Our recent ports collaboration is designed to make this approach a reality. Developing new generation facilities focused on producing e-fuels is just one piece of the integrated green fuel corridor puzzle. A significant amount of existing port, bunkering services and transportation infrastructure must be either re-purposed, augmented or built to meet the upcoming demand for e-fuels from the shipping and end use industry”, says Marloes Ras, the CCO of Madoqua.
The agreement builds further on Horisont Energi's partnership with ECOLOG to advance the Norway–Netherlands CO2 corridor, which was announced in November. The initiative aims to strengthen connections within Europe’s CO2 infrastructure and support cross-border decarbonization efforts.
Earlier this year, the governments of Norway and the Netherlands signed a Cross-Border Transport Memorandum of Understanding to unite CO2 stakeholders, assess feasibility, and advance a CO2 Corridor with defined milestones and timelines.

Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen accepts nomination to the Board after heading Horisont Energi for 6 years
Sandnes, Norway 31 March 2025: Horisont Energi (EURONEXT: HRGI)
Co-CEO Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen announces that he will step down as Co-CEO of Horisont Energi, after having spent six years building the company and making it the recognized company it is today. He will continue supporting the Company as he has accepted the nomination as member of the Board of directors, following his role as Co-CEO.
Back in 2019 Bjørgulf founded Horisont Energi as Norway’s first pure play carbon transport and storage- and blue
ammonia company The pioneering Barents Blue project was one of the first industrial scale blue ammonia project world-wide to be developed. Many blue ammonia projects have since applied a similar approach as Horisont Energi by selecting the SynCORTM process developed by the Danish technology company Topsoe. The Barents Blue project is unique in a European setting and was approved as an IPCEI hydrogen project and standard setter for blue ammonia in Europe in 2021.
The Polaris carbon storage was the first carbon storage license applied for, after the Aurora license of the Northern Lights project, thus being a pioneering carbon storage license in Norwegian CCS. Horisont Energi was awarded the Polaris license in June 2022.
The Gismarvik CO2 hub project was a result of work on the carbon value chain started early 2021. Now, it is among the largest CO2-terminal planned in Europe. Also, being a Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) in EU, it is a part of a larger European CCS value chain. The project has generated interest from all over Europe and from Norwegian emitters.
Bjørgulf has worked hard building a pioneering company with high impact projects and strong international partners, both within blue ammonia, clean energy, carbon storage and carbon transport. “After having spent six years building this company, I have achieved what I wanted with the company and now consider my part of the operational work done. I look forward to following up the company strategically going forward, as a board member and owner. I think Horisont Energi is a key company in the energy transition, and I think we have demonstrated that it is possible, although demanding, to build industrial sized green businesses in these shifting and challenging times”, says Co-CEO Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen.
After having transferred responsibilities and tasks to his successor and colleagues, Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen is up for election as a board member in the Annual General Meeting in April. “As founder of Horisont Energi, Mr. Eidesen has demonstrated strong entrepreneurship and technological leadership, from even before the inception of the Company in 2019. The Board would like to thank Bjørgulf H. Eidesen for his strong commitment to the energy transition, his high expertise and hard work in his role as CEO of Horisont Energi,“ says chair of Horisont Energi Frode S. Berg.
As of 1 April 2025, the Company reverts to a single CEO model, with Leiv Kallestad as CEO and CFO.
