China investing heavily in H2

We know what happened with solar panels. Just hope that Europe can compete better this time. The problem is that Chinese government is able to spend billions and billions to support their companies.

On the other hand hydrogen gets more visibility and the ramp up will be faster. Companies like HEX with good quality and competitive production will benefit for sure.

"Companies like HEX with good quality and competitive production will benefit for sure."

Agree. Especially in countries outside China. High pressure tanks for hydrogen and CNG on the global market need reliable and trustworthy guarantees and certificates from sources like Veritas and United States Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) .

I don't think that China is able to deliver on these important issues like companies from US, Europe and South-Korea/Japan. It's about insurance, machinery of justice, rule of law.

Hexagon is years ahead of Chinese competitors here IMO.

But we should applaud that China is entering the H2-scene in a forceful manner. World will watch. And learn. And adopt along the way. A very positive signal from China.

''World will watch''

Spot on. This is the first article, I've seen, from an American analyst pointing out the development and possibilities in H2 technology:

''Invest in Fuel Cell Technology’s Massive Opportunity''
https://banyanhill.com/invest-in-fuel-cell-technology-massive-opportunity/

I'm pretty sure that American funds and investors are waking up after Nikola World, at least it's an important step into that direction. We'll get H2 funds quite soon.

Luckily HEX is ready with their products and it surely takes years for Chinese companies to be able to export their tanks. Just hope that HEX can get some market share in Korea, Japan and Australia.
Last year only 7% of HEX sales came outside of Europe and USA. They have sales representatives in Chile, Brazil, India and Singapore meaning that sales to Asia was practically close to zero. That's very strange taking into account that Mitsui is the biggest owner of the company. It's possible that one of those OEM deals went to Asia. Let's see when and where they'll expand production.

Ser ut som Michelin vil slå seg sammen med Faurecia som driver bl.a med trykk tanker. Her kan muligens HEX få konkurranse. Positivt at Michelin vil satse på Hydrogen.

Very interesting news from PLUG today - and also good news for Hexagon I think:

Plug Power Announces Commercial Launch of the 30 Kilowatt Hydrogen ProGen Engine

PS.: Have added som extra kilos PLUG-shares this week. Now I'm ready for an April lift-off. Or May, may be? Time will tell....any way, probably a good place to be in for the long haul...

and a TA "golden cross" ma50/ma200 looks very close...probably next week. Let's see what happens.

It was really positive announcement. Looks that they'll expand their business fast:

''Delivery of the first commercial orders for this product are scheduled in July 2019 to European and Asian on-road e-mobility applications.''

1. to new markets
2. to new applications (on road)

Already 10% of my portfolio but still thinking to add even more... and after 5 years a cottage from Northern Norway ; )

Fuel cells and hydrogen storage tanks go hand in hand - and that’s where HEX is the leading, global player?

Artikkel om Kina:

Dette er meget bra from HEX point of view. Now all of the industrial giants in Asia: China, Japan and South-Korea are investing heavily in H2. Western car manufacturers and governments must react - and very soon.

Adjit: Very interesting China-news. Thanks!

(I had to check up on The Epoch Times "about us" to see if it is trustworthy. Looks like it is...at least as good as most media out there. Probably better...)
So China is slashing state subsidies for lithium battery-powered electric cars by 67 percent...

That' s a serious message to the battery EV industry. And Chinese Premier Li Keqiang obviously fell in love with Toyota Mirai and hydrogen/fuelcells on his visit to Japan... and now wants China to shift R&D subsidies to fuel cells and hydrogen....

Wauw...and I agree, German and French - and US - carmakers should watch this very closely.

And yes, Hexagon and its shareholders should warmly receive this Chinese H2 news story.

Now China will produce and distribute hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to Brazil:

https://www.telesurenglish.net/news/China-Goes-Green-Will-Produce-Hydrogen-Vehicles---20190423-0012.html

HEX already has some CNG business in Brazil:

When Chinese go to South America, the others will do the same very soon.
