Det første du bør fordype deg i er børsen i Canada. Den er et sørgelig kapittel, så det er ikke rart at selskaper som QEC går til en av de største OLJE børser i verden, for å skaffe penger til utvikling av firma.
Som du skriver burde det være mer kunnskap i Quebec, men som du sikkert har fått med deg er DE en merkelig sammen skrudd befolkning, som vi sier NAVLEBESKUENDE.
Eksempel: Statsministeren (den nye) uttalte på ett felles møte med alle provins statsministere "Vi vil ikke ha den sjiittene oljen gjennom vårt territorie." rør ledning som ville føre olje fra Albert til østkysten.
Dette er politiker prat.
Han har NÅ bet QEC om å fra falle rettsaken og vise departementet løsningen for miljømessig FRACKING.

We received your email.

You mentioned that your technology is “clean fracking methods”. Do these fracking methods apply to extract shale gas? If so, Quebec government banned fracking for shale gas last year (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-fracking-ban-1.4694327). I’m waiting for a confirmation of that information, but it’ll be difficult to justify any fracking pilots/tests here in Quebec.

Furthermore, did you contact other Canadian or Quebecer organizations? Let us know because we have a special agreement with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC).

Conclusion

Today, we hosted a lunch presentation with Questerre CEO Michael Binnion. Over overall impression was a forward-leaning CEO that 1) was happy with development of the company core assets in Montney and 2) is starting to see payoff for many years of work with the Government in Quebec. The highlights were:

Our analysis

· Important deal with Ministry of Environment in Quebec: Mr Binnion’s key message was that the developments in Quebec has been very positive lately, compared to the majors set back in June 2018 when the Government in Quebec published draft hydrocarbon regulations that potentially could ban most of oil and gas activities. Binnion explained that at the request of the Ministry of Justice, Questerre has agreed to temporarily defer the planned judicial review hearing in return for indication of approval of a pilot project. To address concerns about the potential environmental impacts of development, Questerre has recently submitted for review by the Ministry of Environment a conceptual engineering plan to test its Clean Tech Energy pilot program (includes electrification of operations, re-use of water and other initiatives). In our view (confirmed by Binnion), this will significantly increase the probability for a commercial development of the lowlands project. If the progress continues, we expect Questerre to resume drilling in the Lowlands in late 2020 or early 2021. In the event of no progress on the Lowlands development and/or a new fracking ban, the option on legal case is still alive. In such a case, Questerre will claim compensation for historical costs and lost NPV from the project.

· Lowlands farm down on the agenda when project is matured: If (or when) the company’s Lowlands acreage will be commercially developed, we forecast a substantial capital need. The current contingent resources of close to 4 Tcf gross (=0.6 bn boe) and unrisked prospective resources of 21 Tcf (=3.5 bn boe) illustrate the potential. We believe one of several sources of funding may be farm down from the company’s current 100% share (after closing of Repsol deal). Binnion indicated a farm down of at least 10% is on the agenda when the project is matured.

· Climbing the learning curve in Montney: Shale production is a lot of experience and learning from how previous wells. In Montney, Questerre has now achieved an initial production rate of 1,600 boe/d from a 2 mile well, up from 800-1,000 boe/d for shorter wells.

· Strong increase in 2P reserves set to continue: Questerre 2018 reserve report showed 30 million boe (mmboe) 2P reserves (up by 11.5 mmboe compared to end 2017), valued at approximately CAD 230m. These reserve numbers exclude the potential vast upside potential at Lowlands in Quebec, which currently not is booked as reserves. Mr Binnion indicated around 10 mmboe (our interpretation) of upside potential for the 2019 reserves if the company drills a few more wells in the Kakwa central and west area. Our valuation does not include such an upside potential, yet.
