Arctic S. 04.04.2019 - Quote: LPG rates continue to move up: VLGC rates continued up yesterday, and the Baltic LPG Index increased to USD 46.64/ton (USD ~33.6k/d). Both the Eastern and the Western markets appear to be tight at the moment, and according to brokers, there is almost no vessel availability until the early parts of May. At the same time, inquiries for early May loadings is increasing, which should indicate that rates could continue to increase. A wide-open West-to-East price spread is certainly also helping.
