The company recently announced that the Precise BioMatch Embedded algorithm is beneath the hood of eWBM’s FIDO2-certified USB key, and has now revealed that the same algorithm can also be found in a new USB authenticator from Octatco and a smart door from Xiaomi.

The Octatco integration follows directly from Precise’s licensing agreement with eWBM, which is partnering with Octatco. The arrangement has allowed Octatco to deploy the BioMatch Embedded algorithm in its new EzFinger2 USB authenticator. Like eWBM’s Goldengate 500 USB key, the EzFinger 2 is FIDO2-certified and enables secure password-free authentication.

BioMatch Embedded has also been integrated into the Aqara S2 ProSmart Door Lock, which is developed by a Xiaomi subsidiary called Lumi United Technology. That deal came about through Precise’s longstanding licensing agreement with Betterlife, which provided the fingerprint sensor for the Aqara S2 lock. Like most biometric locks, the Aqara S2 allows people to unlock a door with a fingerprint scan to offer superior (and convenient) access control.

Together, the two deals demonstrate the flexibility of Precise’s technology, as well as its utility in a range of different industries as the market for fingerprint solutions continues to expand.

Air France Trials Facial Recognition at New York and Houston Airports

France-KLM will be introducing biometric boarding through a trial program at two major US airports, with plans to expand the technology to all US airports by 2020. The program uses facial recognition to identify passengers before they step onto the plane, allowing for a much faster boarding process.

“We are excited to embrace an innovation that has the potential to make the travel experience less stressful and more secure for our passengers,” said Stephane Ormand, the VP and General Manger for Air France USA.

Biometric boarding is already available to Air France passengers in a number of US transportation hubs, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, and Seattle. Facial recognition will be used to process upwards of 2,000 Air France travelers every day during the trial period.

Of course, Air France is not the only air travel organization exploring the potential of biometric technology. NEC’s facial recognition tech will soon be coming to more Japanese airports following a successful deployment at Narita International Airport, while the CLEAR program has been introduced at multiple airports in the US in the past few months, including Boston Logan International

Corvus Integration has unveiled a new multimodal handheld that leverages fingerprint technology from Integrated Biometrics (IB). Dubbed the Tetrad ID Sleeve, the lightweight device offers iris, face, and fingerprint recognition, the latter of which is delivered via IB’s Five-O ten-print fingerprint scanner.

The Five-O is an FBI-certified FAP 50 scanner, and provides fingerprint enrollment and verification in a compact, energy-efficient form factor. The device weighs in at less than 200 grams, which makes it ideal for the collection of fingerprints while in the field.

“It’s the smallest ten-print device on the market, which gives our users tremendous flexibility,” said Corvus CEO Jeff Kormanec.

“Our Light Emitting Sensor technology is enabling a variety of new devices due to its size, durability, ease of use, and low power requirements,” added Integrated Biometric Executive VP David Gerulski. “This combination has energized our partners to design devices unimaginable just a few years ago.”

That sensor technology was used to build IB’s ultra-thin FAP 30 scanner, which was released in June. The company’s various solutions were also recently deployed in a SIC Biometrics handhelds designed for law enforcement.

For Corvus, the ID Sleeve is the latest addition to the Tetrad line of products, which previously integrated an Identiv card reader in an effort to increase its appeal to border control officials.

Identiv and Corvus have announced a partnership to integrate the Identiv 4501 contact and contactless smart card reader board into the Corvus Tetrad biometric border patrol solution.

Corvus launched the Tetrad, a modified version of its Corvus Sleeve, with an Identiv card reader in January. The smart card reader from Identiv supports near field communications (NFC) and security standards including contact ISO/IEC 7816, and contactless ISO/IEC 14443.

The Tetrad integrates an Integrated Biometrics Appendix F-certified “Five-O” four-slap fingerprint scanner with a dual iris and 5mp face camera from Corvus, the Identiv card reader, and a Gemalto machine-readable zone (MRZ) reader.

Hvilken sertifisering er det du refererer til?

Softwaren til PB kan brukes til alle biometriske betalingsløsninger!
Ikke umulig at dette er innenfor den samme leverandøren. Det er jo midt i området til PB.
Det er i Asia det skjer og at PB er midt mellom alle parter som er involvert. Grunnet det store racet om å bli førstemann til mølla, så blir alle som ikke har en egen og sikker algoritme tvunget inn i armene til PB. Slike sertifiseringer kommer ikke rekende på en fjøl og tar tid å få godkjent. Snart er PB sin algoritme i alle kort, pass, mobil betaling, klokker, dørlåser og biler :)

Precise Biometrics has signed a license agreement with a leading fingerprint sensor supplier from Asia. The agreement enables the sensor supplier to include Precises’ fingerprint software, Precise BioMatch Mobile, into their under-display sensor solutions for mobile devices.

The agreement will generate royalty revenue based on actual sales of fingerprint sensors which include Precises’ software. The royalty revenue is volume dependent and cannot be forecasted at this point. The agreement also includes a fee for support and maintenance and the right to integrate and use Precise BioMatch Mobile, which will be recognized to commence from the second half of 2019.

De er jo verdsatt til konkurs med 80 mill på bok, store kontrakter, nye algoritmer, mange 100 mill brukere, lisens, patent, royalties og midt i Shanghai med nytt kontor, øker bemanning pga nye avtaler for support. Under Display fingerprint og de er med i 20 talls tester innenfor betalingskort, pass og diverse innlogging-funksjoner. Mobil biometri er de størst på og det boomer i markedet! Banker er klar og det er nå det skjer... Noen store laster opp med roboter i forkant som trader ned kursen og det har de klart med stil!

Fing var et godt kjøp, men nå er mye av økningen tatt og det er et stort skifte i biometriske løsninger. Face ID har tatt markedet med storm, under display fingerprint og algorytmer som støtter alle biometriske løsninger. PB er med i alle og er første ledd som tjener penger i segmentet. Så det er ikke Fing og bare Fingerprint card lengre ✌🏼
