Spændende at Intel udsætter launch netop som Aseteks nye partner ikke blev offentliggjort pga. udsat launch.

[image]Asetek® (ASETEK.OL) today announced the November 2017 edition of the TOP500 fastest supercomputers features eight systems incorporating Asetek RackCDU D2C™ (Direct-to-Chip (http://data-center/oem-data-center-coolers/rackcdu-d2c/)) liquid cooling technology, including the 9th fastest HPC installation in the world.

New additions to the list featuring RackCDU D2C include Peta HPC (#95), installed at the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Taiwan and D.A.V.I.D.E (#440), an innovative OpenPOWER-based HPC cluster from E4 Computer Engineering in Italy.

"Asetek is pleased to see two new installations added in this edition of the TOP500 resulting in three systems in the top 100 and six in the top 200," said John Hamill, Asetek Chief Operating Officer `A number of major HPC clusters using D2C are in the process of being installed and we expect the number of D2C systems to be in the double-digits when the rankings are next updated."

Ranked #9 on the list is Oakforest-PACS. The installation features Asetek liquid cooled Fujitsu (http://data-center/data-center-oems/fujitsu/fujitsu-cool-central-liquid-cooling/)® PRIMERGY™ servers installed at the Joint Center for Advanced High-Performance Computing (JCAHPC) in conjunction with University of Tokyo and Tsukuba University.

Also included are Asetek liquid cooled Penguin Computing (http://data-center/data-center-oems/penguin/penguin-tundra-es/)® Tundra™ clusters under the National Nuclear Security Administration's tri-laboratory Commodity Technology Systems program (CTS-1). These clusters are located at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), and Sandia National Laboratories (SNL). They include LANL Grizzly (#85), SNL Serrano (#112), SNL Cayenne (#113) and LLNL Topaz (#327.)

Ranked 177th is the Fujitsu installation at A*STAR Computational Resource Centre (A*CRC) and National Super Computing Centre (NSCC) in Singapore.

8 Asetek installations were also listed on the GREEN500 Supercomputer list: Oakforest-PACS (#22), D.A.V.I.D.E. (#18), Peta HPC (#30), SNL Cayenne (#64), SNL Serrano (#65), LANL Grizzly (#66), LLNL Topaz (#77), NSCC (#217).

Asetek is currently showcasing its breadth of worldwide HPC installations and range of solutions at SC17 booth #1625 in Denver, Colorado.

About the TOP500 List
The first version of what became today's TOP500 list started as an exercise for a small conference in Germany in June 1993. Out of curiosity, the authors decided to revisit the list in November 1993 to see how things had changed. About that time they realized they might be onto something and decided to continue compiling the list, which is now a much-anticipated, much-watched and much-debated twice-yearly event.

The TOP500 list is compiled by Erich Strohmaier and Horst Simon of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; Jack Dongarra of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; and Martin Meuer of ISC Group, Germany.
