Capesize bulk carrier cocaine bust UPDATE 2 Filipino crew arrested

Oct 30 Update:

Two Filipino crew of a Capesize bulk carrier GOLDEN SAVANNAH were arrested for smuggling cocaine into Korea, said Korean police in a statement released on Oct 30. One of them understood to be Chief Officer. Captain reportedly, is accused of cover-up attempt, but understood, he wasn’t involved in criminal plot. Both The ship left Korea on Sep 20, according to AIS history. Both arrested crew members denied charges.

Capesize bulk carrier cocaine bust, crew under investigation
Capesize GOLDEN SAVANNAH arrived at Taean Port, Korea, Yellow sea, on Aug 25, and was berthed with some 120,000 tons of thermal coal for Power Plant, same day. The ship arrived from Colombia via Singapore. Later bulk carrier was stormed by Korean Customs officers, who were alerted by US Coast Guard. According to USCG information, there was a ship to arrive to Korea with cocaine lot on board, via Singapore. 4 bags with 100 kilo of cocaine were found, hidden in fore compartment, but not in cargo hold.

All Filipino crew are under investigation, the ship remains berthed at port.

Er det her noen som har gravd i påstanden om at gogl- skip får 25% høyere rater enn bd viser og funnet årsaken...?
