Oil drops the most since May on fears coronavirus will hit growth.
• Oil is on track for its worst week since May as the coronavirus outbreak and demand implications pressure prices.
• U.S. West Texas Intermediate is tracking to the end of the week with a more than 7% loss. International benchmark Brent crude is down 7% for the week.
• For now, the oil market seems to be assuming that the situation will get worse before it gets better," Raymond James analyst John Freeman said in a note to clients Friday.

John Carey, tidligere visedirektør i Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, tror oljeprisen vil bli påvirket av coronaviruset i en lengre periode.
Brentoljen er ned 2,67 prosent til 59,04 dollar pr. fat mandag ettermiddag. Det er laveste pris siden oktober. For en uke siden kostet et fat brentolje til sammenligning over 65 dollar. WTI-oljen er mandag ned 2,62 prosent til 52,82 dollar fatet.
John Carey tror oljeprisen vil bli påvirket i lang tid.
– Jeg tror det skaper bekymring, uten tvil. Jeg tror oljeprisene vil falle, og sannsynligvis holde seg lave, i noen måneder. Slik som skjedde etter SARS-viruset, sier den tidligere visedirektøren i Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ifølge CNBC.
