Vianode is an advanced battery materials company providing sustainable anode graphite solutions for the battery and EV value chains in North America and Europe. Vianode’s breakthrough solution enables tailored high-performance synthetic anode graphite and holistic sustainability offering a 90% reduction in CO2 footprint. Vianode operates the world's most sustainable full-scale anode graphite plant for batteries at Herøya Norway. The next step involves executing a multi-billion dollar phased investment program dedicated to establishing large-scale plants across North America and Europe. Vianode’s long-term ambition is to supply advanced battery materials to 3 million EVs per year by 2030. Vianode is owned by the world-leading financial company Altor.
We are seeking a Financial Controller to enhance our Finance department in Skøyen, Oslo. This is a newly established role where you will play a pivotal part in our accounting and controlling team, with a genuine chance to make a significant impact. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of the month- and year-end accounting and reporting cycles
- Develop the collection and processing of financial data
- Monitor the cost and cash flow development of Vianode AS and its group companies through reconciliations and analysis
- Provide monthly budget follow-ups with department and project managers
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and ad-hoc reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and the Norwegian Accounting Act
- Support the development and documentation of financial processes and routines
- collaborate with external accounting firm and auditor
- Ad hoc projects and analysis
Desired qualifications and background:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing or similar
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience from audit, accounting advisory services, financial controlling or similar
- Strong understanding and experience with financial processes and process improvements
- Experience and knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles. Strong interest for IFRS can compensate for lack of practical experience
- Interest for and strong skills in Excel and ERP-systems
- Knowledge of Power BI, Anaplan or similar reporting and consolidation tools is an advantage
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English
