Ny trÄd med ny ticker! Avance ligger an til Ä tjene store penger for Q4 2020 og enda bedre i Q1 2021. Voleon Capital Managment prÞver nÄ forsiktig Ä redusere short posisjonen sin. Fra 22/12 til 28/12 har de kjÞpt tilbake drÞyt 50.000 aksjer og i morgen fÄr vi se hva de (kanskje) har foretatt seg i dag.
KursmÄlene ligger hÞyt foran oss, det er stort sett bare Hannisdahl som er pessimistisk. Tiden vil vise hvem som har rett. Om kursen stiger til 60 ila 2021 skal vi vÊre bra fornÞyd spÞr du meg, men jeg er pÄ ingen mÄte noen ekspert.

Sutreoptimisten en aksje gÄr ikke rett opp uten korreksjoner selv om det fundamentale er strÄlende. Jeg tror du ville hatt ett roligere liv hvis du ikke var sÄ utrolig opptatt av Dorian.

VLGC charter rates hit new high as 2021 opens on upbeat note!
Hot fixture reported as strong market shows no sign of slowing
Charter rates for VLGCs have kicked off the year on a high with a vessel being fixed at a very strong level.
Brokers said Zodiac Maritimeâs 84,000-cbm LPG carrier newbuilding Durham has been fixed for 12 months at $1.6m per month, equating to a daily rate of $52,500. The charterer has yet to be identified.
The rate is significantly higher than that done on VLGCs being fixed for similar business in November and December, when deals were concluded at levels in the low to mid-$30,000 per day range.
In another deal, brokers said Singapore-based Cido Shipping has locked in its 82,000-cbm Kobai (built 2009) into a 15-month time charter with Hindustan Petroleum Corp. The rate is understood to be $45,000 per day.
Daily spot charter rates have tipped over the $100,000 mark for the start of 2021, up from fixtures seen in the high-$90,000-per-day range in early December.
Time charter equivalent rates for VLGCs in both the West and East are being quoted at $3m per month, levels not seen since August 2015.
One specialist VLGC broker described the rates as âextraordinarily highâ.
He said charterers have been fixing up to two months ahead in the run up to the end of 2020 to be assured of securing tonnage. This compares to half that time in earlier months.
Specialist VLGC brokers said cold weather in the East is creating more demand with more US-loading vessels making longer voyages via the Cape of Good Hope or the Suez Canal due to ongoing delays with Panama Canal transits.
These have seen transit times extend out from two to eight to 10 days while ships wait for slots.
One said the lack of slots here for VLGCs looks set to become more acute due to changes being brought in by the Panama Canal Authority to its tiering system.
This looks set to limit the advance booking time for owners and operators of gas ships to a matter of weeks, making scheduling more complex.
He said this could help sustain rates in the longer term as vessels are forced to take longer-haul routes.
âIt is a level of uncertainty which owners will now have to try to price into their economics,â he said.
Market players pointed to a lack of available tonnage and a âbullish sentimentâ among VLGC owners.
Shipowners are content to hold out for high rates at the start of the year as they consider how to trade their fleet, one explained, rather than fix out their tonnage in a strong market only to see it re-emerge as a relet chartered out at a higher rate later.
An LPG broker commented that the strong market seen in the second half of 2020 had surprised with players possibly overestimating the Covid-19 demand destruction from Asian buyers and China in particular.
The market revival kicked off in mid-June with rates continuing to improve throughout the rest of the year.
Owners and brokers are optimistic that the strong rates may hold for some time into 2021. They pointed out that in addition to the longer tonne-miles, the VLGC orderbook is âmanageableâ.

Det er greit nÄr det kjem ein eller to gonger, men du framstÄr jo som ein gammel platespelar som har den samme singel LPen stÄande i. Samma lÄten kvar gang, sÄ blir det summing og stilt. Bidra med fornuftig og god argumentering, eller litt nyttig info i ny og ned sÄ sleppe du at folk skal reagere negativt pÄ det du skriver. Du har nevnt at du har lang fartstid pÄ bÞrsen, sÄ lenge at du er blitt ein smule dement da eller? For det var vel gevinstsikring og korrigering etter stor oppgang fÞr «spillebula» sin tid og?

Jeg leste den Finansavisen-artikkelen hvor overskriften er at "Fredriksen avslÄr fusjonsinvitt"... Det er den mest misvisende overskriften til en artikkel jeg har lest pÄ lenge. Dette "avslaget" er utelukkende journalistens ord, og er et resultat av at journalisten mener at selskapets ansettelse av ny adm.dir. medfÞrer at de ikke Þnsker oppkjÞp/sammenslÄing osv. Innholdet i artikkelen derimot er at Onarheim i BW LPG applauderer AGAS sin ansettelse og ser utelukkende positivt pÄ at dyktige folk ansettes i selskaper med pÄgÄende drift. Innholdet i artikkelen synes jeg er bra, men overskriften er ganske rar.

LPG: VLGC rates continue to rise with the latest Baltic assessment equaling a TCE of c. USD 105k/d for standard tonnage. Those units fitted with scrubbers are fetching a slightly higher rate of c. USD 109k/d, versus the cash breakeven of the listed players of USD 20-23k/d.

For Ä vÊre konkret, sÄ tror jeg personlig fortsatt pÄ en konsolidering i markedet. Og det er veldig fornuftig om det skjer enten ved at BW LPG kjÞper AGAS, eller at selskapene slÄs sammen. Det er vinn-vinn for begge selskaper. Hadde jeg sittet ved rattet i BW LPG, sÄ hadde jeg handlet alt av aksjer jeg hadde fÄtt tak i pÄ dagens kursnivÄ. Det samme gjelder om jeg hadde vÊrt Fredriksen sjÞl. Det blir spennende Ä se hvor dette ender/fortsetter.

Jeg har gjentatt det flere ganger, og sier det igjen; JF vil ikke la Avance gÄ til BW. BÄde pga bittert blod dem i mellom, en god porsjon stolthet, samt at JF er ikke kjent for Ä selge med rabatt. Og begge, JF & Sohmen, er alt for gjerrige i oppkjÞpsituasjoner til Ä friste den andre siden til Ä avgi aksjer. Det blir sjeldent noen spennende premium bud. Min magefÞlelse tilsier at den nye CEO'en vil fÄ beskjed om Ä utvide butikken. Sannsynligvis med konsolidering av mindre enheter eller enkeltskip, eventuelt nybygg re-sales av allerede bestillte skip fra andre redere eller tradere.

Den sank litt mot slutten ser jeg, men det bÞr absolutt bli en bra dag i morgen (ogsÄ), ja. Q1 futures er bra opp i dag ogsÄ. MÄ vel ligge an til TCE snitt rundt $100k/d for hele Q1 en med disse FFA prisene (Jan: $115k/mt, feb: 107 og mar: 97). Da soper AGAS og BWLPG inn helt ville summer pÄ ett kvartal.

Jeg tÊnker at der snart mÄ komme nye analyser pÄ Avance, hvor raterne for december og Q1 er indregnet. Futures er for hele 2021 er ogsÄ blevet vÊsentligt hÞjere.
De fleste analyser har anbefaling af kÞb, men med kursmÄl pÄ 45-60 kr., hvis jeg husker rigtigt. KÞb vil helt sikkert blive fastholdt, men kursmÄl bÞr efterhÄnden hÊves til 70-80 kr.
Selv Hannibal bÞr komme med en korrekt analyse for en gang sin skyld og hÊve sit kursmÄl x2,5.
Fremtiden ser lys og godt ud for Avance de nĂŠste Ă„r.
